The Space Dinosaur -Zetton-
●Introduction
Hello, this is Mukai, development producer of the Ultraman Card Game.
BP07 “Attack of the Great Kaiju” has officially been released. This set marks the second “Kaiju-focused expansion”. While Zetton The Space Dinosaur serves as the central deck concept, Alien Mefilas joins the game as a new core axis for Kaiju decks, following Ultraman Belial.
For the first time in UCG, Kaiju characters that were not typically villains in SINGLE or DOUBLE battles receive Level 7 cards.
We also responded to the common player perception of “Zetton = BP 20000 if conditions are met” by including an RRR card that can reach 20000 BP on its own.
In addition to Kaiju, many Ultraheroes also receive new appearances and major upgrades.
In this column, we’ll introduce the design concepts behind each theme, artwork highlights, and our usual sample deck lists.
●The Space Dinosaur Zetton

To match the player expectation of “Zetton = BP 20000 under conditions”, we included an RRR that can self-achieve 20000 BP.
The artwork focuses on Zetton as the overwhelming enemy who once defeated Ultraman and has stood in the way countless times (e.g., AP(12/20) BP07-056). We hope the visuals convey its presence as an unstoppable boss-level threat.
And this time—amazingly—Shinji Nishikawa has illustrated the SSSP card. Experience that overwhelming despair of Zetton’s arrival through the card art.

The sample deck maximizes cards whose EXTRA can reach BP 20000, paired with Ultraman Belial, who synergizes well with high-BP EXTRA Kaiju—forming a devastating “ultimate enemy” tag team. Try building this deck!
●Ultraman Trigger & Trigger Dark

Trigger fans, thank you for waiting.
Ultraman Trigger returns in his Glitter Trigger Eternity form with major upgrades, and Trigger Dark (Ignis transformation) joins as a new card.
While BP01 emphasized synergy with Decker, this set shifts toward a Trigger-centered theme alongside Ignis. It is designed as a tag deck of “Ultrahero + Ultra Kaiju”, following Arc & Guil Arc.
The highlight is Glitter Trigger Eternity (RRR), which has the effect:
→ “Sum the total cost of characters on the field.”
Since this effect only checks the top character’s level, the total is designed to reach thresholds (15 or 25) using Trigger Dark Lv5–7.
It also synergizes strongly with the Scene Card:
“BP07-106 The 30-Million-Year Miracle”, making it easier to meet these conditions.
●Ultraman Nexus

Ultraman Nexus finally joins in his Junis Blue form.
This RRR is designed not as a direct upgrade to existing cards, but as a self-sufficient Junis Blue-focused deck. This reflects the concept of different Dunamists representing distinct playstyles.
In a Nexus-only deck, both forms can be used together, but in mixed builds, you can specialize into Junis-focused or Junis Blue-focused decks.
The artwork features the rare urban battle version of Arrow-Ray Schtrom.
- BP03 Junis RRR: based on the first OP ending
- Junis Blue: based on the second OP intro
The Scene Card “Shadow – Unknown Hand –” emphasizes synergy with Dark Mephisto, while also strengthening the BP03 version.
While not as tightly synergistic as Trigger/Trigger Dark, it enables a Nexus + Dark Mephisto theme deck.
●Carmeara, the Captivating Warrior

From Ultraman Trigger: NEW GENERATION TIGA, Carmeara joins the game.
Although BP07 is a Kaiju set, it also acts as a Trigger-focused set, with three related characters included.
A highlight is the first Character Scene Card:
“The Captivating Flower of Splendor”
Unlike typical scene cards, this is based on character traits rather than episode titles (functionally identical in-game).
Carmeara’s human-form episode (Episode 15) was intentionally saved for another hero’s release, so this character scene was used instead.
You can identify these cards by:
→ “CHARACTER SCENE Featuring (Character Name)”
Effect-wise, it’s extremely powerful:
→ Carmeara can revive from the discard pile
It performs best with the RRR that has position-changing effects, a mechanic players already recognize from Ultraman Tiga.
This sample deck pairs her with Jugglus Juggler under the Ultra Kaiju category.
●Ultraman Taiga

Thank you for your patience—Ultraman Taiga finally joins UCG.
We know many players have been waiting, especially hearing “Ultra League, Buddy Go!” at events.
The delay was due to properly adapting The Tri-Squad team concept and the series’ themes. This led to the introduction of the “TEAM” system where different characters can level up each other.
Effects scale based on the number of Ultrahero types on the field, encouraging multi-hero decks.
The system reaches full potential with all three team members, but even in this set, combining three heroes allows you to experience the full power of:
“BP07-031 Ultraman Taiga Strium Blaster”
The sample deck uses Ginga, Orb, and Taiga together.
●Ultraman X & Ultraman Max

Both Ultraman X (BP04) and Ultraman Max (BP06) receive support.
Since Zetton Armor hadn’t appeared for X—and Zetton is the set’s main theme—we referenced Max’s guest episode: “X in Peril”. Their similar trait is having BP 11000 in DOUBLE.
Like Nexus/Dark Mephisto, this is just one possible theme—not a permanent push for duo decks.
Both characters are designed so their effects work:
- Within their own archetypes
- Or when mixed with other characters
●Alien Mefilas

Previously, Kaiju decks revolved around Ultraman Belial.
Now, Alien Mefilas is introduced as a new central archetype.
It focuses on synergy with Ultra Kaiju of types:
- Hazard
- Invasion
New cards like Red King and King Joe support these types and work well both independently and within Mefilas decks.
The artwork draws from multiple Mefilas appearances across Heisei and New Generation series.
The Scene Card “Mefilas’ Game” is especially powerful—reminiscent of a Blazar scene—allowing you to deploy large numbers of Kaiju from your deck.
The sample deck uses only BP07 cards, making it ideal for beginners.
Once you’re comfortable, try customizing it with your favorite Kaiju from previous sets.
●Ultraman Gaia

Normally, UCG upgrades characters through new forms or techniques.
However, this makes it difficult to support characters whose stories have already concluded (like Tiga or Omega).
To address this, we introduced previously unreleased forms as RRR cards—even if they appear earlier in the timeline.
Thus, Gaia appears in his early-series form: V1.
This RRR strengthens the existing Gaia/Agul strategy:
→ Returning cards from the field to hand
While this carries risk, the new effect allowing additional deployment makes the strategy more flexible and powerful.
●Closing
We will continue delivering new products and exciting gameplay experiences unlike anything before.
We hope you enjoy epic battles with the diverse characters in BP07.
And of course, the Ultra League World Championship 2026 (May) is on the horizon.
Thank you for your continued support of the Ultraman Card Game.
See you in the next column!
