Applications Open for the Ultra League Official Judge (Basic) & (Advanced) Exams
Applications are now open for the upcoming Ultra League Official Judge (Basic) and (Advanced) Exams.
Whether you are taking your first step toward becoming an official ULTRAMAN CARD GAME judge or looking to advance your judge certification, we invite you to put your rules and tournament knowledge to the test and help create a fair and enjoyable tournament environment for all players.
■ About the Ultra League Judge Program
The Ultra League Judge Program is a certification system established to support fair, consistent, and smooth tournament operations across ULTRAMAN CARD GAME events.
Certified judges serve as mediators of the game. Beyond applying game rules and tournament policies, judges support players, resolve gameplay situations, and help foster an environment of fairness and mutual respect.
The Judge Program consists of four certification levels:
- Basic
- Advanced
- Professional
- Expert
For this application period, examinations will be available for the Basic and Advanced certification levels.
Official Judge (Basic) Exam
The Basic Judge Exam is the first step toward becoming an official ULTRAMAN CARD GAME judge.
The exam evaluates candidates' understanding of the fundamental rules of the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME and the policies governing official tournament operations.
Eligibility
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Exam Scope
Rules Knowledge Level 1 (RK1)
- Scope: UCG Comprehensive Rules
- Objective: To assess understanding of the core rules of the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME and rule interactions.
Tournament Policy Knowledge Level 1 (TPK1)
- Scope: UCG Floor Rules
- Objective: To assess understanding of official tournament procedures, event policies, and the roles and responsibilities of judges.
Official Judge (Advanced) Exam
The Advanced Judge Exam is intended for certified Basic Judges who wish to demonstrate a deeper understanding of ULTRAMAN CARD GAME rules, tournament policies, and competitive event procedures.
Advanced Judges are expected to be capable of supporting larger-scale and highly competitive official and sanctioned events.
Eligibility
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must hold the Official Judge (Basic) certification at the time of application.
Exam Scope
The Advanced Judge Exam covers:
- Advanced knowledge of the UCG Comprehensive Rules, Floor Rules, and card interactions
- Ruling procedures based on the Penalty Guidelines (PG)
- Tournament Policy and Judge Policy
Exam Details
The following applies to both the Basic and Advanced Judge Exams:
- Format: Online / Multiple-choice
- Time Limit: 60 minutes per test for BASIC, 75 minutes per test for ADVANCED
- Supported Languages: Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Korean
- Passing Criteria: Each level consists of two tests. Candidates must take and pass both tests with a score of 80% or higher on each test
- Application Period: September 1 – 14, 2026
- Exam Period: September 21 – October 5, 2026
The ULTRA LEAGUE app is required to take the exam. Applicants must download the app and log in before the exam period.
Details regarding access to the online exam and login information will be provided through the ULTRA LEAGUE app.

Preparation for the Exam
Before taking the exam, please ensure that you have the following:
- A valid government-issued photo ID for identity verification
- The ULTRA LEAGUE app, downloaded and logged in
- A stable internet connection

Judge Certification & Benefits
Candidates who successfully pass their respective exams will receive the corresponding judge certification.
Basic Judge Certification
Candidates who successfully pass the Basic Judge Certification Exam will receive the Official Judge (Basic) certification.
Certified Basic Judges may have opportunities to serve as official judges at ULTRAMAN CARD GAME events and support fair and smooth tournament operations.
Advanced Judge Certification
Candidates who successfully pass the Advanced Judge Certification Exam will receive the Official Judge (Advanced) certification, along with the following benefits:
- Granting of the ADVANCED Judge title within the ULTRA LEAGUE app
- Issuance of a digital Advanced Certificate
Advanced Judges are expected to play an active role in larger-scale and highly competitive official and sanctioned ULTRAMAN CARD GAME events.
Judge PR Card
As a token of our appreciation, judges who actively participate as judges at ULTRAMAN CARD GAME events will receive a special Judge PR card:
(Y26-P040) BP06-073 - Earth Garon [Earth Gun Type 23 Special Tactical Armoured Kaiju]
This special PR card features Earth Garon Earth Gun in an exclusive Judge-themed design, incorporating the ULTRA LEAGUE JUDGE emblem and distinctive red, white, and blue Judge Program graphics.
Further details regarding the distribution of the Judge PR card will be announced separately.

By applying for the exam, applicants are deemed to have consented to the collection and use of their information for identity verification, certification, and Judge Program administration purposes.
Exam Integrity and Confidentiality
All exam content is strictly confidential.
Candidates must not disclose, reproduce, publish, share, or discuss any part of the exam, including questions, answer choices, or answers, with any third party by any means, whether online or offline.
Any misconduct during the exam or unauthorised disclosure of exam content may result in immediate disqualification. Depending on the nature of the violation, eligibility for future Judge Program examinations may also be revoked, and existing judge certifications may be suspended or revoked.
Maintaining the integrity of the examination process is essential to ensuring fair evaluation for all candidates.
